Cosybike Cool...

Sunday 13 September 2009

Carol Smillie and Vicky Lee Driving Challenge (Carnage)

Cosybike was helping Chest Heart and Stroke Scotland with some
fundraising today. (Although we may have supplied them with some
new "clients" too!!)

Well done to all 120 of today's cosybike drivers. Highlights
included an off road game of chicken with a 50 foot Tesco Truck, Team
Carol Smillie and their attempt at demolishing an RBS pop up tent, 2
Fire appliances and some innocent bystanders and Vicky Lee from the
Hour show....I suspect her cameraman may be living on borrowed
time. http://programmes.stv.tv/the-hour/

With any luck we'll be on the telly. And Keep an eye out for the
STV's talent on Tour result on Friday. Cosybike's lighting will be
there for all to see as they recorded the show at my "real" work. It
might be terrible. I light for theatre, and will fully admit to not
having a clue when it comes to TV lighting.

Here is a picture of Carol. She has glued her face to a wall for
some reason.

6.8 km is a long way for the cosybike....but we do hold a world
record at 109 miles for a single cosybike trip.

The Tour de France legend has started his own team. Sponsored by
Radio Shack.

Bradley Wiggins and Mark Cavendish are not doing too bad in the Tour
de France either. It's like a game of chess. I still don't
understand entirely how it works. And they still cycle uphill faster
than I can descend!

Asda are now selling Loss leader bike's too. £70 quid. Or you could
book cosybike for that and entertain your pals at a crazy barbecue

cosybike's favourite bikes

Since I'm in the business of unusual bikes, I thought I'd seek out some more. These cargo bike's from www.Larryvsharry.com look great. They are a
great way to deliver your kids to nursery school or deliver a beer keg! I could have done with one of these last week moving stuff around a festival site!

And for electric bikes there is nothing slicker than these E motion sports. I tried one. They are fast! Buy one at www.onbike.co.uk

The Lewis Craig Fan club! Cosybike staff!

Coming soon. Driver profiles. But here is a rough guide to the staff.

It appears one of my drivers, the Talented musical young lewis from Barrhead is a complete hit with the young ladies, David just think's he's a hit with the ladies. Chris brings rain with him, Daniel the van mechanic is the sole reason the cosybike is delivered to you on time, Kerry will talk to you for hours and Trevor....well we don't know his special skill yet but his wrestling shows are legendary.

Treat them all with respect and courtesy,

Cosybike Thankyou

Hello Teresa and Garrowhill Primary School

Just a wee note to say that Cosybike and me were very impressed with the behaviour of all the children at Garrowhill Primary school.  You were all very friendly and on your own initiative sportingly gave up your turns so friends could all be together.

Me and Chris are exhausted, so if we come back another time, get your mums and dads to stop being "too cool for school" and get them on the bike too!

Thanks again

Iain, Chris and Cosybike

Tour de prestigne

www.tourdepresteigne.co.uk

The UK's Premier Electric Bike Rally was on the 9th and 10th of May 2009 in Prestigne, Wales. Cosybike was there soaking up the atmosphere and taking part in the parade.
It was a fantastic event, well organised, loads of products, stuff to do, take part in, entertainment, and lovely hospitable folk and amazing wee town. We had a ball and we won a prize! (although I missed it because I had to pack up and get back to Glasgow)

Highlights were 4 year old Esme? with the purple jumper and matching purple icecream all over her face. She talked more sense than a lot of the adults! And My trainee driver ???? from "Team Onbike"

The Girl that unloaded cosybike from the truck...

Poor girl, All the big strong boys were busy, BUT little Jenny was
there and offered herself as a willing victim.

Along with my folks, some ladders and scaff boards we fashioned a
ramp and slid the bike off gently. Sideways. Because that was the
only access!

Jenny was a key scaffolding board mover. She plays her role down
modestly, (although in retellings I notice she tells everyone she
did it all by herself) She was also the first swedish cosybike
rider in scotland as we had to ride the bike home as the truck was
too big to make it round the corners.

Jenny also makes really funky clothes and wedding dresses that are
all unique.

She has a shop in the southside and an online outlet here. Buy her
stuff.

Amazing Customer Care!

Cosybikes amazing fibreglass paint roller pole recently failed at the
casting. I sent a letter to the manufacturers asking for a
replacement part. They don't have spares but instead they sent me
whole new lovely aluminium pole. It makes you feel special.

http://www.lgharris.co.uk/

Cosybike thoroughly recommends you buy painting stuff from LG
Harris. I think they supply paint to HRH The Queen too. If its good
enough for her it's good enough for me!!

If you want to feel special, book cosybike! We treat our customers
like royalty too. (But without the whole 'revolution head chopping
off thing)

Its snowing!!...and June and July are getting busy again already!

Hello Cosybikers

If you wish to book for bike week or any weekend in the summer get in
there quick!
The 5th to the 7th June is now full and the 7th - 17th July is also
full.

There is still hope, If you have a little event contact me anyway,
we might be able to squash you in somehow.

While its snowing cosybike is hibernating, but secretly wants to go
driving in the snow. I know how she feels but we'd need to find 6
other idiots to come with us. Tea and cake is much more appealing
right now!

Prom Transport 2009 Specials

I blame it all on High School Musical but it makes me busy so bring
it on!

Enquiries are coming in already for May/June
To secure your prom night cosybooking get in there fast!

Scottish central belt bookings are really competitive. If you are in
Glasgow a Half hour will cost £60 - 1 hour £100

Down south in englandshire, I'm afraid the travel costs make it quite
dear financially and environmentally....But if you really want
cosybike and are prepared to pay we'll be there. Expect to pay
around £400 plus. (I make my drivers pedal all the way! hahahahaha!)

Remember, a Hummer is just a very inefficient minibus and nobody will
see you. On the cosybike people will take pictures and wave.
Shrinking violets need not apply. You will also be remembered as the
forward thinking, environmentally aware young person we are ALL
pinning our hopes on.
