Keep Scotland Beautiful (KSB) staff (and friend) pedalled the cosy bike 51 miles from Glasgow Green to Victoria Park, Edinburgh as part of Pedal for Scotland on Sunday 12 September 2010.
Fundraising for Keep Scotland Beautiful - Scotland's biggest environmental charity - the team were apprehensive about the challenge; a picture of the bike the only thing we had seen before arriving in Glasgow. But we needn't have worried. Iain, from Cosy Bike, soon had us moving forwards and the entire experience was uplifting. Never before had we felt famous - the attention we attracted was phenomenal and I think on behalf of the team, I would like to say a huge thank you to all those fellow cyclists who gave us words of support (despite us taking up the entire cycle lane), to those who cheered us from their gardens and on the streets, and to the hundreds of people in cars who tooted at us as we charged down Ferry Road into Edinburgh - a slight diversion from the rest of the riders as we were just that bit too wide for the last section of the route.
Overall it was a fantastic experience for all of us on board, we raised the profile of KSB and our work, we pulled in plenty of money, and most of all we had fun.

Thanks Cosy Bike!
